Preveza is a small city in Northwestern Greece known for the location of the first and the only underwater tunnel in this country. Today Preveza is a commercial harbour with a marina, 4 museums, two cinemas, an open theatre, a music hall, many clubs, taverns and cafes. Less than 10 kilometres from the city you can find the Preveza-Lefkada Aktion National Airport and 30 kilometres to the south you can find Lefkada island which is a major tourist destination. But if you want to avoid the crowds and if you ever find yourself in Preveza, this is the hotel you should consider for your accommodation.
Dioni Boutique Hotel in General
This 4* hotel is open 24 hours per day and offers free Wi-Fi in every corner of it. I was impressed by the hotel’s friendly staff who know so much about the city and Greece in general. If you need a restaurant recommendation or are you interested in Greek history, just ask them are they will be happy to help.
At the reception, ask them about the wake-up call or the price of laundry service. They can also arrange airport transportation or store your luggage after your check-out.
Location of the Hotel
All I can say is that the hotel’s location could not be better which their location rate on Booking.com of 9,4/10 also prooves. It takes you 1 minute to reach the sea, restaurants and shops on foot. The public beach is 750 metres away.
The Hotel Rooms
Pick between 4 different types of rooms; Premium, Superior, Junior Suite and Deluxe Suite. Although all of them include a TV, air conditioning, a safe, a fridge, a work desk, a balcony, a telephone, both, in the room and in the bathroom, a hairdryer and some bath products, in much larger Superior rooms you can also find a sofa where a child can sleep. Deluxe Suite is separated into two rooms for your maximum comfort. No matter the room type, during your stay you will sleep on orthopaedic Coco-Mat mattresses.
Online you can find some reviews about guests having problems with their bathroom but the problems they had are long gone already. I can honestly say that ours was fully functional and very clean. I loved their shampoo that smelled like olive oil and a bathtub that can also be used as a shower.
You can enjoy the breakfast on the rooftop and catch some amazing views of Preveza meanwhile. If you have read some of my previous blogs, then you know that I am very picky about what I eat but in this hotel, I was able to find something I loved and not eat the same food every day. Just look at their wide range of bread, jams, pastry, cooked food, hot beverages, juices and more.
The hotel offers free parking for its guests. It can be accessed from the 21is Oktovriou street which is behind the hotel. I loved that there is a back entrance from the parking to the hotel and the two elevators are right next to that back door. The parking is not hard to find is just follow directions on your maps.
Price & Value for Money
Their excellent rate of 4,5/5 on TripAdvisor and 8,9/10 on Booking.com say it all. Starting at around 70€ for a Premium Room per night, you can enjoy this hotel just like I did and you will not regret it for sure. Check out some of their special offers on their website to save some money on your booking and book directly with them or book through my link on Booking.com to express your support to me (I will earn a small commission if you do so but you will not pay any extra, thank you!).
I know I will definitely stay in this hotel if I ever go to Preveza again. So tell me, have you ever been to Preveza before? What do you think about this hotel?
