Not everyone wants (or can afford) luxury but when you travel, a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom are a must. A delicious breakfast? Well, that is only a plus! Let me tell you about a charming 3* hotel in Belgrade that offers all of the above and more!

Belgrade Inn Garni Hotel in General

Newly renovated hotel with a touch for a style and decor is located in the heart of the Belgrade’s centre. Although it only has 3 stars, it does look like it has more. Besides the looks, I also enjoyed their early check-in time which is at 2 PM and late check-out time which is at noon, like in most of the luxury hotels.

Location of the Hotel

In just 4 minutes of a walking distance, you can reach the city’s main square Trg Republike which is also the main meeting point for both, locals and tourists’ activities like Free Walking Tours and similar. You cannot be any more in the centre than Belgrade Inn Garni Hotel is.

The Hotel Rooms

Belgrade Inn Garni Hotel features 5 different room types; Micro, Twin, Double, Family and Superior Rooms. Although a TV, a safe, an air conditioning system, a hairdryer and a kettle with some tea and coffee next to it can be found in every room, the Micro Rooms are pretty tiny and are more suitable for travellers who spend the majority of their day in the city outside of the hotel.

I stayed in a Twin room and so my travel buddy and I had separated beds.

Every other room includes a minibar and a working desk. As the name says, you can find two beds in Twin Rooms and Family Rooms include a baby crib or there is another bed for your children in the other room that is connected to yours by doors so that your family stays together. Superior Rooms enjoy the luxury of a king size bed, a sofa, a large working desk, a plasma TV, a bathrobe and slippers.

The rooms are quite small, but they are big enough so you can walk around it without limitations.

I found it very useful that every bed has its own reading-lamp above it and an electric socket nearby.

The Bathroom

Even though some rooms are a bit narrow, the bathrooms are spacious enough so that you do not feel trapped in it. I found mine to be very clean. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words so I will let you decide.

The Breakfast

The hotel’s breakfast offers you a wide range of pastry, cereals, fresh and dry fruits, cooked vegetables, salads, eggs, bacon, pasta and more. You may also try typical Serbian dishes like burek (filled with meat), sirnica (filled with cheese) and zeljanica (filled with spinach). What I loved, in particular, is their tea box and fresh juices.

Parking

Belgrade Inn Garni Hotel has only 4 parking places for its guests so upon booking the hotel room, you also have to make a reservation for the parking place. They are located right in front of the entrance to the hotel and are under the surveillance. I was told that it rarely happens that they are not enough for the number of guests who come to Belgrade by car.

Unfortunately, I have to say that they are not free of charge and the reason for this is the hotel’s great location in the city centre which comes along with the parking problem. It is important to say that every hotel in Belgrade usually charges a parking fee and this hotel is no exception. The price per day is around 13€.

In the worst case scenario, if the hotel does not have a free parking spot for you, you may park your car in the street where the hotel is located. How to pay for the parking (and how to cheat the system) read in my other blog about driving in Serbia where I also explained the Serbian parking system.

Additional Services

If you are travelling to Belgrade for business, in this hotel you can find a meeting room that can host up to 50 people. At the reception, you can exchange your money into the Serbian currency or pay your parking ticket. After you check out, you may store your baggage in their storeroom.

The hotel staff can organise your transport from/to the airport at an extra cost. You may know that Belgrade is proclaimed to be the world’s nightlife capital so if you are here to party, they will happily advise you where the best clubs are and they will make any reservations for your night out on your behalf. At the reception, also ask about the room service and the price for laundry, dry-cleaning and ironing services.

About the Hotel’s Wi-Fi

The hotel manager is proud to provide an exceptional personalized customer service which honestly, it reminded me of some luxury 5-star hotels and their similar service. What exactly am I talking about?

Upon connecting with the hotel’s Wi-Fi you are asked to connect one of your social media like Facebook or Instagram or to sign up with your e-mail. Why? So that hotel gets some of your personal information that you are already sharing with others and so they can adjust some of the hotel services to your needs. This also helps them with gathering statistics about travellers that return to their hotel and more. This way they can only improve and become an even better hotel.

Honestly, if you do not feel like sharing your personal information with them, you do not have to give them your real e-mail (and the Wi-Fi connection will still work) but the hotel manager herself guaranteed me that they do not sell our information to third-party apps.

Fitness, Wellness and More

Start your day in Belgrade fresh with a good work out in the hotel’s fitness centre or enjoy a relaxing massage. The use of fitness, Swedish dry sauna and a steam bath is included in your price of the stay. In the fitness area, there is a TV to distract yourself or to catch up with the news during your workout. In front of the sauna, there are two sofa chairs where you can relax with a cup of tea or coffee.

Price & Value for Money

With an excellent rating of 9,1/10 on Booking and knowing that the hotel is ranked “No. 8 hotel” in Belgrade by Tripadvisor with a great rating of 4,5/5 and a fact that the hotel is “Travellers’ Choice 2019 Winner”, it is safe to say that this hotel will not disappoint you. As the hotel staff say, “(the hotel) is perfect for those who appreciate the impeccable, the refined, and the clever, all delivered with an elegant wit.”

Prices for a room per night start at around 45€ for Micro Rooms and around 65€ for Twin or Double Rooms. Book directly on their website and get free use of a portable Wi-Fi router during your stay or book through my link on Booking.com to express your support to me (I will earn a small commission if you do so but you will not pay any extra, thank you!). For more information, please, check out the hotel’s official website.
