Whether you are travelling to Belgrade for business or pleasure, I know just the place for you to stay in. The 4-star hotel located in the city centre is a perfect choice that will not disappoint even the most demanding travellers.
Mark Hotel Belgrade in General
Within the hotel, there are two restaurants; one is on the -1 floor where you can enjoy the breakfast and the other in on the ground floor next to the reception. The latter is also a bar and the only room in the building where smoking is allowed. Upon check-in, guests are given the high-speed Wi-Fi’s password and all the information about check-out time and more.
Location of the Hotel
Some of the main Belgrade’s landmarks like Slavija Square and The House of Parliament are just 5 minutes of walking distance away from the hotel. It takes you 15 minutes to reach the main square of the Republic on foot and less than 20 minutes of driving to arrive at the Belgrade Nikola Tesla airport. The bus stop and many shops and cafes are also near.
The Hotel Rooms
Guests can choose between 5 different types of rooms; standard, superior, suite, premium suite or a room with three beds. All rooms are equipped with A/C, minibar, safe, iron, TV, telephone, hairdryer, fresh towels, bathrobes, slippers and hotel cosmetics like shampoos, shower caps, vanity kit and more. Besides being much larger, suite rooms contain not just one but two TVs, in premium suites, there is also a Jacuzzi.
The first impression I got when I walked into my room was great. Bed sheets looked very clean and were nicely ironed, on the bed, there was a pile of towels waiting for me with a hotel’s name imprinted on the ribbon.
I want to emphasize that there is a really spacious walk-in shower (which is much more hygienic than a bathtub). I also noticed how great sound prooved the bathroom doors are. The hotel is new and has a great ventilation system.
No matter how picky you are about the food you like to eat, there is plenty of choices. I know I am very picky when it comes to food but when I only tried a piece of everything that looked good to me, I was so full that I could barely even walk for the next couple of hours. Honestly, the breakfast in this hotel was the best one I ever had in a hotel. I mean, there is literally everything, even tortillas. Tortillas for breakfast? How can you say no?
You can choose between fresh fruits, cereals, typical Serbian food, sweets, delicious bread, different kinds of jam, cheese, salami, eggs, etc. What impressed me (besides the tortillas) is their freshly squeezed orange juice. Whatever you see has both, Serbian and English name written by so you know what you eat.
The breakfast is included in the room price and you should definitely take some time in the morning to enjoy it and start a day in the right way – happy and full.
Mark Hotel has enough parking places for its guests in the garage across the street or in the street in front of the hotel but unfortunately, they are not free of charge. The reason for this is the hotel’s great location in the city centre which comes along with the parking problem. It is important to say that every hotel in Belgrade usually charges a parking fee and this hotel is no exception. The price per day is around 15€.
If you are coming to Belgrade by plane, you can ask a hotel to arrange your transportation from the airport to the hotel which is proceeded pleasantly and without complications according to some reviews from previous hotel’s guests on TripAdvisor. There are also room service and laundry service at your favour (you can find the price list in your hotel’s room). You can ask for an in-room massage, medical assistance, wake-up calls and more. Pets in rooms are allowed. The hotel also has a room for business meetings and social events which can also be organised by the hotel.
Some Thoughts About My Stay in Mark Hotel Belgrade
There is one more thing I have to say; the hotel’s staff is extremely kind. I was greeted with great hospitality even before they knew who I am. On their website, there says: “We are proud of our staff and services that give guests a reason to come back and honestly recommend us.” I can genuinely confirm that they have a good reason to be proud of themselves and I know for a fact that next time I visit Belgrade, I will not even search for other hotels because I already know where the best one can be found.
The Price & Value for Money
Having that said and taking a look at their impressively positive feedbacks and reviews (4,5/5 on TripAdvisor and 9,2/10 on Booking), no price is too high to pay for such an enjoyable stay.
