On the 12th and 13th of May 2018, Slovenia was visited by famous Spanish singer and songwriter Enrique Iglesias. Since his concert on the 12th was quickly sold out, they announced the second one on the day after. I was lucky enough to get a ticket and so the countdown began.

I am going to share a secret with you. I cannot recall a concert that I have been to and did not cry during the show. I am not ashamed of being an emotional creature. Being a part of a screaming crowd, sharing so much love and seeing someone who has succeeded in his/her life so much in person literally bring the tears of joy out of me each and every time.

People have lightened up the Arena during his performance of Hero.

This time was no exception. The show has started with the “I’m a Freak” song and let me tell you something – it made me speechless. His unshaved beard made him look so much older than I have expected but oh, nonetheless he looked hella sexy to me!

During the show, he took his time to thank his fans many times. He bowed to us and even joked about moving to Slovenia! But not only had we got his special thanks. At some time in the middle of his performance, he paid tribute to the Swedish DJ Avicii who has recently died at the age of 28.

Bowing to the audience.

What I appreciate a lot is that he had learned to say “hvala” which means “thank you” and “na zdravje” which stands for a “cheers”. I know Slovenian language is hard to pronounce and especially to learn, but it is so nice to hear someone at least trying to greet in a language of a country he/she is in. I do that all the time.

Big balloons surprised his fans at the end of the show.

Before leaving the stage he has promised us to return to Slovenia soon and so the waiting for going to the Freak concert continues.

Bonus – Here is the whole setlist: I’m a Freak. I Like How It Feels. Heartbeat. Duele el Corazón. Bailamos. Ring My Bells. Loco. El Baño. Be With You. Tired of Being Sorry. Escape. Tonight (I’m F*ckin’ You). Súbeme la Radio. Hero. El Perdon. Bailando. I Like It.
